Most clients start with one and grow into several. Because it is the same accountable team throughout, nothing is lost in a handover between vendors.

In brief

The short version.

Straight answers to the questions we are asked before anything else.

01What does Shaoom do?
Shaoom Limited is an IT and AI engineering company that designs, builds and operates business software. It covers 16 practices across five categories — intelligence, build, run, protect and advise — spanning AI and automation, data platforms, software and mobile development, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, compliance and IT advisory.
02Where is Shaoom based?
Shaoom has two offices: London, United Kingdom, which handles strategy, delivery management and client contact; and Navi Mumbai, India, which holds engineering, QA and platform operations. The teams overlap for most of the UK working day and clients have one accountable lead across both.
03What kind of clients does Shaoom work with?
Growing businesses that need technology capability they cannot staff internally — typically organisations without a full-time CTO or in-house engineering team. Past work spans e-commerce, health and wellbeing, publishing and professional services.
04How do you start working with Shaoom?
Every engagement starts with a two-week fixed-fee discovery. Shaoom maps your systems and priorities and returns a written findings document with a costed, prioritised roadmap. You keep that document whether or not you continue.
05Who owns the code and infrastructure Shaoom builds?
The client does, from day one. Repositories, cloud subscriptions, domains and documentation are created in the client's name; Shaoom requests access rather than ownership, and every engagement ends with runbooks and a documented handover.
What we build

The shape of a modern system.

Most of what we deliver resolves to this. Tiers vary in size and one may be missing entirely — but the boundaries, and who owns what, stay the same.

  • Every tier is yours — accounts, code and documentation.
  • Boundaries are enforced, not assumed.
  • The band underneath is the part vendors skip.
How each tier is built
Reference architecture. Client web and mobile applications connect to an edge layer providing content delivery and a web application firewall. The edge routes to backend services and to an AI layer running retrieval and agents. Both read from a shared data tier of transactional databases and a warehouse. Monitoring, identity, delivery pipelines and backup span every tier.
Why Shaoom

A partner, not a vendor.

The phrase has been on our website for years. These are the four commitments that make it more than a slogan.

A vendor engagement runs from brief to launch and stops. Ours continues through running the system and evolving it.
How we work
  • 01

    Senior people on your project

The engineers in the pitch are the engineers who build it. No handover to a junior team after signature.

  • 02

    Fixed-fee discovery

Start with a two-week paid discovery and a written plan. If it is not the right fit, you keep the plan and walk away.

  • 03

    You own everything

Source code, cloud accounts, domains and documentation are in your name from day one. No hostage infrastructure.

  • 04

    UK and India, one team

London for strategy and delivery management, Navi Mumbai for engineering depth. Overlapping hours, one accountable lead.

Delivery model

Discover, design, build, run.

The same sequence whether the project is a mobile app or a cloud migration. Select a phase to see what it produces.

Phase 01 / 042 weeks

Discover

Two weeks, fixed fee, no obligation.

We map the systems you run, the work your people repeat, and the outcome you are being measured on. You get a written findings document and a prioritised plan — whether or not you continue with us.

You receive

  • Systems inventory
  • Risk register
  • Costed roadmap

Representative schedule — phases overlap

A representative schedule: Discover runs two weeks, Design three, Build around ten and starts before Design finishes, and Run begins during Build and continues open-ended.

The problem

A health product with no mobile engineering function, a fixed launch date, and a requirement to work without connectivity in clinical settings.

What we did

Shaoom built a user-friendly, visually appealing e-commerce platform and then stayed for the part that mattered — proactive maintenance and rapid response. It significantly improved our team's efficiency and let us focus on growing sales.

As our business grew we needed hosting that could scale with us. Shaoom offered dedicated and virtual options that fit our current needs while leaving room to expand, and their security measures mean we know client data is protected.

We weren't sure where to start with revamping our outdated website. Shaoom took the time to understand our brand and audience, and designed something that genuinely reflects our family business. They're always a phone call away.
